Meet Patrons' Council Award Winner Ed Fleury

The Scarborough Centenary Hospital opened its doors in July 1967, one hundred years after Canada became a nation.

Patrons' Council Award winner Ed Fleury was on the building committee for Centenary in 1964, then joined the hospital Board the year it opened. He took on the position as Chair of the Board from 1975 until 1980. He has since been recognized with an Honourary Life Membership on the Board of Directors for his caring and dedication to the bricks-and-mortar building -- now part of Rouge Valley Health System -- and all that it represents to his community. He is a true philanthropist, still sitting on many committees, as well as supporting several Foundation campaigns over the last 45 years.
